JavaScript Framework
jQuery is a fast and lightweight JavaScript framework that is well documented and has a very active community contributing plugins, documentation, and support. There are also some great UI frameworks such as jQuery UI and ExtJS that build on the jQuery foundation to provide support for rich internet applications.
jQuery has been bundled in the default install of several popular open source projects such as Drupal and WordPress, and is included in the 2008 versions of Microsoft Visual Studio.
